Job Description : Divisional Director - Property Services


Working for one of the most prolific consultancies in the UK today, our client has quickly become one of the most recognised names in property and estate management. Their reputation has put them in an enviable position and has led them to seek a Divisional Director.


The key purpose of this senior management role is to be responsible for the day-to-day operational delivery of professional property services from the company's Oxford office. This will involve meeting contractual standards, client and customer expectations and meeting the business targets.


In more detail the role will involve leading the office and acting as a Consultant's Representative in accordance with their core property services contract with the County Council.


Ensuring the delivery of a responsive and professional service to all clients. Developing and implementing systems and processes to ensure the effective management of service delivery in time and with agreed budgets, timescales, service quality and other KPI's.


Developing and implementing continous improvement systems and gaining the commitment of the team to deliver business excellence at all times.


Building and maintaining effective working relationships based on the partnership approach with clients.


Developing and maintaining effective team working across the Business Unit and with other areas of the group to ensure the delivery of a full range of services to clients.


Developing the people within the team, enabling each individual to realise their potential and contribute to the success of the organisation; implement robust performance Management processes, ensuring that staff are clear about expectations and required standards of performance.


Ensuring that succession management and development initiatives are in place to maximise potential and future managers.


Working closely with the management team preparing marketing, business and financial plans; ensuring that plans are regularly reviewed and adjusted as appropriate. Managing the Business Unit to achieve the Business Plan targets.


Developing the business to achieve the planned strategic growth of the Business Unit.


Initiating and managing local Business Development activities for the Business Unit; supporting the corporate business development team in preparing strategic bid documents.


It is hoped that you will be professionally qualified with UK experience and that you will have knowledge of all aspects of Employment Law, Health & Safety and Environmental Issues.


In addition to this good market knowledge and operational experience in at least one key area:- Capital Projects, Repairs and Maintenance, Estate/Asset Management.
